CONSTRUCTION
The LEC-G LEC sign is constructed from an impact and scratch resistant polycarbonate/ABS blend. Housing is UV stable and flame retardant. White housing is standard, black housing available.
ILLUMINATION
Electroluminescent exit signs are powered by electroluminescence using LECs (light emitting capacitors) and “smart” driver technologies. The lamps themselves are less than half the thickness of a credit card contributing to the ultra-thin design of the sign. See page 1 for additional info on LEC technology.
EMERGENCY OPERATION
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solidstate transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 120 minutes. Recharging a discharged battery happens within 24 hours.
BATTERY - BATTERY BACKUP
The LEC-G Electroluminescent Exit Sign is designed with a maintenance-free NiCad battery that provides a minimum emergency duration of 120 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is 24 hours. Operational temperature range is 65°F (18°C) to 85°F (30°C).
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
Dual voltage 120/277 input operation. For battery backup units, a LED display indicates AC/ON. An external push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to quickly determine operational status.
INSTALLATION
The LEC-G is suitable for surface wall, side and top mounting via included canopy. Knock-out chevrons for customized egress signage.
